The studio combines investigation, product thinking, operational understanding, design, software, AI, and experimentation. The objective is not maximum software. The objective is useful outcomes.

Andrew Warner is an operator and product builder focused on turning messy problems into useful systems and software.
Before starting Shape & Signal, Andrew spent more than a decade working inside operational environments — coordinating people, vendors, facilities, processes, and the everyday systems that keep organizations moving. That experience shaped how he approaches technology: start with how the work actually happens, not with a feature list or a new tool looking for a reason to exist.
Over the past several years, he has built and experimented with AI-powered products, workflow systems, diagnostics, media tools, and internal software. Through that work, one principle kept becoming clearer: building software is getting easier; deciding what is worth building is becoming more important.
Shape & Signal grew out of that idea.
Andrew leads the studio's work across research, product strategy, prototyping, AI-assisted development, and validation — using the Signal → Shape → Ship → Learn → Reshape process to move from an observed problem to something real enough for the market to judge.
The goal isn't to build more software. It's to get better at recognizing the problems that deserve it.
